V. Finding Your Steam ID
Some of you may be asking, "What is my STEAM ID and how do I get it?" Your STEAM ID is a public series of numbers which are used to identify you in steam games. We use member STEAM IDs to control permissions in our servers.
To find your STEAM ID follow this step by step guide:
- Join any ol' STEAM game.
- Enable the developers console by going into Options/Keyboard/Advanced and check the box that says Enable Developer Console.
- Open your console by hitting `(the tilde key); that's the key in the upper right-hand corner of your keyboard below the Escape key and next to the 1 key.
- Type status in the box that appears.
- A list of all players in the server will appear along with a series of numbers; find your name and copy the part that starts out with STEAM_0:.
VI. Final Notes
Thank you for your interest in our unit, we hold a deep respect for our military heritage and attempt to simulate it in a relevant manner while balancing a fun gaming community of cool headed individuals. If this sounds like something you could commit yourself to, you'll surely be welcomed.
For the 4th!
